Introduction to Plant-Based Cooking

Interested in learning more about plant-based eating? In this class, nutritionist and avid home cook Leah Johnston will be discussing what the term really means, as well as the health benefits of building and balancing plant-based meals into your lifestyle. On the menu:
- Roasted Vegetable & White Bean Bowl with Herby Sauce
- Tempeh Shawarma Pita Wraps
- On-the-go Protein Balls
During the class Leah will also be discussing recipe variations that will enable you to make several different versions to suit the seasons and your tastes!
Leah Johnston is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and the master of her home kitchen. Her culinary training began at an early age learning from her mother and continued through cooking classes, working in restaurants and other professional kitchens. Leah’s goal is to empower people to take control of their health and personalize their diet by being REAL: Eat real food. Make it real easy on yourself. Knowledge based on real science. Changes that are realistic. Healthy food can be easy to cook, flavorful and delicious!
